The National Milling Co. of Guyana Inc. (NAMILCO) is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing company. In order to comply with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard NAMILCO has to ensure that certain production procedures are established, implemented, and maintained by each department involved and that the system is audited continually by a group of trained Quality Auditors for compliance, as well as to determine ways and means of improving the processes. The production processes are also audited annually by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Standards. NAMILCO was ISO 9001 certified on May 01, 2009.

NAMILCO’s operations are food-related, and as such must ensure compliance with Food Safety regulations. The Quality Assurance Department – the Laboratory or Lab – is integral in ensuring food safety and product quality.

The National Milling Company of Guyana Quality Policy is aimed at the implementation of the Organization’s mission – Leadership in the supply of wheaten flour and flour products that meet or exceed customer expectations and maintaining a reputation for excellence in the services we provide.

The quality management system is planned, implemented, reviewed, and improved, considering the context of the organization as a set of interrelated processes in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015.
