The National Milling Company of Guyana Inc. (NAMILCO), on December 23, 2020, was pleased to support the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security ‘Wish Upon A Star’ initiative.
This venture was launched on December 14, 2020, by Dr. Vindhya Persaud, MP, Minister of Human Services and Social Security. The Minister stated that the inspiration behind this concept was to reach out to children with special needs who never had the opportunity to enjoy something they wished for. Namilco was happy to support this venture which will bring a smile to every child receiving a gift of their wish, especially during this pandemic. At a ceremony at the company’s Head Office, a cheque for $150,000 was presented to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, Ms. Shannielle Hoosein-Outar by Namilco’s Financial Controller, Mr. Fitzroy McLeod. Also present at the ceremony were Namilco’s Operations Manager, Mr. Ralf Hemsing and Marketing Supervisor Ms. Alicia Anderson.
